Great question and the answer is really simple!
£1 goes into a pot for community projects/events
We'll start by giving this pot of money to the Edwinstowe and Dukeries Lions Club - every month. In future, we may get our members to decide where the money goes, but we think the Lions do a great job supporting local causes and we know the money will be in safe hands and given to great causes.
£1 goes into a members rewards pot
We'll use this pot of money to host member only events or offer heavily discounted products and services. We're looking into running member-only prize draws too - so you could win prizes for being a member.
£1 goes towards running the platform
It'll be tight, but that's for us to worry about. This pot of money will cover things like transaction fees, accountancy fees, website development, hosting and marketing etc.
The short answer - yes. But for the next 12 months, we're focusing on Bilsthorpe, Edwinstowe and Ollerton & Boughton. This is to prove the concept works hyper locally first, then we'll roll it out to more areas as membership grows - so new communities will be included soon and can start benefiting.
Right now, a pledge is not a payment — it simply shows your interest.
Your contact details are stored securely for up to 12 months so we can update you on progress. When the project launches, you’ll be asked if you want to become a paying member.

The Robin Hood Club will be a Community Interest Company.
